ShiBaShi Taiji-Qigong (set 1)
ShiBaShi, also known as Taiji-Qigong is a beautiful flowing Qigong routine with 18 movements. Unlike the Health Qigong series promoted by the Qigong Health Association of China, ShiBaShi is a non-standardized form. You will see as many variations as practitioners. The version presented here has been modified to be safe for young and old, preserving knees and backs. Lin Housheng originated the ShiBaShi combing movements from Tai Chi and Qigong to produce set 1 around 1979. It has become enormously popular worldwide as an easy-to-learn, enjoyable form to practice with great health benefits.

Beginner Tai Chi Walking with "T" Stance
Beginner Tai Chi walking, both forward and backward with an intermediate "T" stance for balance
This video is for beginner Tai Chi students. It demonstrates Forward and backward Tai Chi walking with the inclusion of the "T" step to maintain balance.
Once balance and leg strength are more developed, the "T" is discarded, and the moving leg/foot flows seamlessly as the step through.
Rooster Crows in the Morning - Qigong
Rooster Crows in the Morning Qigong. A short Qigong routine can be done in the morning when you only have 5 minutes to practice your Qigong. You can do as many repeats as you have time for. This routine stimulates the Loagong acupoint when closing and lowering the fists. We stimulate the Yongquan point when rising up to stand on our toes. Breathing is combined with each movement. When rising up we breathe in, when sinking down we breathe out.
Stimulating Laogong (pericardium 8) regulates the internal energy of the heart and calms the mind. Yongquan (Kidney 1) helps to ground you and bring the energy in the body down.

The video shows a modified way of stepping for the single whip in the Yang-9, that may be easier if you have restriction and mobility issues with knees, ankles or hips. This video accompanies 'in-person' training. It is very important to manage knee alignments and step correctly. The normal stepping for the single whip is shown at the end of the video.
